Piano Restoring
At Lauzon Music we are famous for piano restoration inside and out.
Superior factory quality finishes are produced in our state-of-the-art professional spray booth facility located on premise. Our customers often comment that our restored pianos have a better appearance than many new pianos. The secret lies in all the extra effort we put in our restoration work. Before the finish is applied, we do a special preparation on the outside wood cabinetry of the piano. We also use a unique factory polishing technique in all of our finishes to give the final product that
dreamy satin lustre. The result? Restored pianos that look brand new!

Case Polishing
To guarantee superior quality inside the piano, we have technicians on staff with more than 30 years of experience. Our restored pianos play like new. The restoration process
is a very complicated one but suffice to say that we do the job right. We have developed our expertise in this field since 1945 diligently and continuously, giving us 55 years' experience in piano restoration. When you visit Lauzon Music, you can actually see the restoration and refinishing work in progress on the lower level of the store. We welcome all our customers to see first-hand how we produce fabulous restored pianos in our facility. We believe it will be an experience both exciting and entertaining.

Levelling the piano keys
To our knowledge our restoration techniques and custom finishes have not been duplicated anywhere else in Canada. Because of our reputation for ultra high quality restoration work, we were asked by the Canadian Government to restore Glenn Gould's personal Steinway 7' grand piano. The restoration was done in 1982 and this piano currently resides in Rideau Hall.
