Dear Customers,

My grandparents, Dorothy and Larry Lauzon, started Lauzon Music in 1945. From the outset, this has been a true small, family business and has provided for three generations of us. My father grew up in this business and infused his passion for piano into every day of operations and then I grew up working alongside him, evolving the business to reflect my love of guitar.

Throughout that time the family at Lauzon Music has included our incredibly talented and committed staff, and you, our loyal customers. In this time of unprecedented anxiety about our individual and collective well being, it’s time to temporarily close the doors to the building and protect the health of our friends, family and community.

This decision wasn’t actually hard, because people must come first…but it’s certainly one I did not see coming even a week ago and one that is going to have very difficult financial implications.

We will still be here, available by phone or video call, and making sure our online store is updated in real time. We are providing curbside pickup on local order & free shipping in Canada on all orders over $100 and and we are implementing policies like waiving any restocking fees and providing a 48 hour grace period to make sure that you love what you bought and can return it at no risk if it isn’t perfect for you. We will make absolutely certain that we have handled your purchase with our usual care and consideration but with extra measures to ensure cleanliness is paramount.

These are strange days as the Wellington West neighborhood that has sustained us for 75 years grows quiet in response to Covid-19 and will be stranger still in the silence of an empty store. But it is the right thing to do and we will all persevere….and likely emerge better musicians after some time at home, weathering this pandemic.

Please feel free to email me anytime at, I’m here to help you with any questions.

Be well,

Dave Lauzon
