bad-cat-ocelot-lunchbox-head
Bad Cat Ocelot Lunchbox Head

The Ocelot is a 20-watt tube head in a 13.5 lb aluminum chassis, built to cover the jobs a big amp can't do at home: quiet practice, direct recording and grabbing it on the way out the door. It runs two EL84s and three 12AX7s, and the output switches down to 1 watt, so you get real power-tube response at a volume the house can live with.

Channel 1 is clean with a Hi/Lo mode switch that takes it from high-headroom clean to the edge of breakup. Channel 2 is the gain channel, from tight crunch to thick saturation, with its own gain and volume. Treble, Mid, Bass and Presence are shared, and the included two-button footswitch handles channel and mode.

What sets it apart from other lunchbox heads is the Two notes Torpedo section inside. There's an internal speaker load, so you can play with no cab connected, and six Bad Cat DynIR cabinet captures run to the XLR and headphone outputs, editable over USB-C. It also comes with a lifetime GENOME licence. If you want the Bad Cat sound in a full-size head instead, the Mod Shop Cub 15 is the place to look.

SPECIFICATIONS

AMPLIFIER
Power: 20 Watts, Switchable Down to 1 Watt
Power Tubes: 2 x EL84
Preamp Tubes: 3 x 12AX7
Transformers: Custom Bad Cat Transformer Set
Channels: 2, with Hi/Lo Mode Switch

CONTROLS
Independent Channel Volumes
Global Master Volume and Presence
EQ: Treble, Mid, Bass
Cab: 6-way Cabinet DynIR Selector Switch and Cab Level
Footswitch: 2-Button Footswitch Included

CONNECTIONS
Two notes Torpedo DynIR Integration
Cabinet Simulated XLR Output
Cabinet Simulated Headphone Output
Internal Speaker Load
MIDI Input for Cabinet, Channel, and Mode Control
USB-C for Two notes Torpedo Remote
Buffered Effects Loop
8 or 16 Ohm Switch for Speaker Outputs

CHASSIS
Design: Designed in the USA by Bad Cat Amps
Heavy Duty Aluminum Chassis
Weight: 13.5 lbs
Dimensions: 12" (W) x 6" (D, 6.75" incl. knobs) x 6.25" (H, 6.75" incl. feet, 8.25" handle up)
Warranty: 5-Year Limited Warranty
