boucher-grande-reserve-gr-sg-163t
Boucher Grande Reserve GR-SG-163T S-Jumbo 5A Torrefied Flamed Maple

The GR-SG-163T is Boucher's S-Jumbo in the Grande Reserve spec, with 5A torrefied flamed maple back and sides under a Gold Touch top. Gold Touch is Boucher's name for its torrefied AAAA Adirondack red spruce, roasted to age the wood through a process the company developed with Université Laval. The neck joins at the 14th fret, with crown style markers, Boucher's own headstock and gold Gotoh open gear tuners. Boucher counts this series as a milestone for the workshop. The maple's figure varies from guitar to guitar, so the photos show one example.

For the same S-Jumbo in 3A maple, look at the GR-SG-63T. The GR-SG-162T is this 5A build as a Dreadnought, and the Studio Goose SG-63 is an S-Jumbo in Canadian Curly Maple.

Boucher's option packs add a burst top, an installed pickup, a master grade top or extra abalone trim, all listed below.

Options for this model include:

Burst Pack: a hand-applied sunburst, tobacco burst, open amber burst or black top

Concert Pack: Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup, installed

Intimate Concert Pack: K&K Pure Mini pickup, installed

Master Grade Pack: master grade Adirondack red spruce top, abalone rosette, koa or maple body binding (not with the Ultimate Pack)

Prestige Pack: Style-41 abalone trim

Ultimate Pack: master grade Adirondack red spruce top, a choice of exotic or highly figured back and sides (bubinga, cocobolo, maple, koa, Madagascar rosewood or walnut), koa or maple neck and body binding, high gloss neck, a choice of fretboard inlays, Gotoh 510 open gear tuners (not with the Master Grade Pack)

Left-handed build

Price subject to change based on options chosen.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Canada (built in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec)
Body Size: S-Jumbo
Neck Joins Body At: 14th fret
Top: Torrefied (Gold Touch) AAAA Adirondack red spruce
Back and Sides: 5A Torrefied Flamed Maple
Body Finish: Gloss

NECK
Width at Nut: 1.750" (44.5 mm)
Width at 12th Fret: 2.125" (54.0 mm)
Fret Markers: Crown style
Headstock: Boucher original design
Neck Finish: Satin

HARDWARE
Tuners: Gotoh open gear, gold

CASE
Case: Hardshell case
