boucher-studio-goose-sg-22
Boucher Studio Goose SG-22 Dreadnought African Bubinga

The SG-22 is a Studio Goose dreadnought in African Bubinga, under an AAAA Adirondack red spruce top that Robin Boucher picks for each guitar. The spruce comes from the region around Boucher's shop in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec, and Boucher builds the series around one aim: an accurate acoustic sound on stage and in the studio. A modified V neck, 1.750" at the nut, meets the body at the 14th fret, with Gotoh closed gear tuners on Boucher's own headstock.

For the same wood on the other Studio Goose bodies, there's the SG-21 OM Hybrid and the SG-23 S-Jumbo. The bubinga's figure differs guitar to guitar, so the photos show one example.

Finish, pickups, a cutaway, top grade and trim can all be built in through Boucher's option packs, listed below.

Options for this model include:

Burst Pack: a hand-applied sunburst, tobacco burst, open amber burst or black top

Concert Pack: Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup, installed

Gold Pack: torrefied Gold Touch top and Gotoh gold open gear tuners (not with the Vintage Pack)

Intimate Concert Pack: K&K Pure Mini pickup, installed

Master Grade Pack: master grade Adirondack red spruce top, abalone rosette, koa or maple body binding (not with the Ultimate Pack)

Prestige Pack: Style-41 abalone trim and Gotoh nickel open gear tuners

Soloist Concert Pack: Venetian cutaway and Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup, installed

Ultimate Pack: master grade Adirondack red spruce top, a choice of exotic or highly figured back and sides (bubinga, cocobolo, maple, koa, Madagascar rosewood or walnut), koa or maple neck binding, high gloss neck, a choice of fretboard inlays, Gotoh 510 tuners (not with the Master Grade Pack)

Vintage Pack: torrefied top, 1.750" bone nut, tapered square headstock, Gotoh nickel open gear tuners (not with the Gold Pack)

Left-handed build

Price subject to change based on options chosen.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Canada (built in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec)
Body Size: Dreadnought
Neck Joins Body At: 14th fret
Top: AAAA Adirondack red spruce (Picea rubens)
Back and Sides: African Bubinga
Body Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Profile: Modified V-shape
Width at Nut: 1.750" (44.5 mm)
Width at 12th Fret: 2.125" (54.0 mm)
Headstock: Boucher original design
Neck Finish: Satin

HARDWARE
String Spacing at Bridge: 2.1875" (55.6 mm)
Tuners: Gotoh closed gear, nickel

CASE
Case: Hardshell case
