It runs a 25 1\/2\" scale and a 10\" radius, longer and rounder than the 24 7\/8\" and 12\" on the 290, with narrow-tall frets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 6-in-line headstock is shaped to give the strings enough break angle without a string guide, which Collings says helps tuning stability. Wiring is a 3-way blade with volume and tone, 250K pots, Jupiter Vintage Yellow caps and Davies Radio knobs, and pulling the tone knob puts the pickups in series, which Collings likens to a humbucker-style boost.
