collings-eastside-lc
Collings Eastside LC

The Eastside LC is Collings' full-depth jazz archtop: fully hollow and parallel-braced in maple laminate, with a 16" lower bout and a 2 1/2" deep body. A single Lollar Charlie Christian pickup at the neck feeds an archtop rig of adjustable ebony bridge and ebony tailpiece, and the unbound S-holes, ebony pickguard and Flared Haircut peghead give it its own outline.

Collings built it for the working jazz player and aims it at a full, warm vintage tone. It comes strung with D'Addario 12s with a wound third, over a Honduran mahogany neck with a 1 11/16" nut, a 24 7/8" scale and a 12" radius rosewood board with mother-of-pearl long dots.

The Eastside LC Deluxe keeps this body and pickup and adds ivoroid binding to the board, peghead, S-holes and pickguard. For a slimmer 15" body, see the Eastside Jazz LC. Collings can build this one up with its options for tops, finishes, trim and inlays, all listed below.

The photo shows one example build.

Options for this model include:

Nonstandard, premium and metallic finishes

Aged finish and hardware

ThroBak humbuckers

Bigsby vibrato

Parallelogram or broken glass inlays

Gold hardware

60s neck profile

Left-handed build

Price subject to change based on options chosen.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA (built in Austin, Texas)
Construction: Fully hollow parallel-braced
Body: Maple laminate
Top: Maple laminate
Soundhole: S-holes (unbound)
Body Binding: Non-grained ivoroid
Pickguard: Ebony
Guitar Finish: High gloss nitrocellulose lacquer

NECK
Neck: Honduran mahogany
Neck Joint: Extra long mortise & tenon
Scale Length: 24 7/8"
Fingerboard: Rosewood w/ MOP long dots
Fingerboard Radius: 12"
Fingerboard Binding: None
Frets: Medium 18% nickel-silver
Nut: 1 11/16"
Truss Rod Cover: Ebony
Peghead Profile: Flared Haircut
Peghead Veneer: Ebony w/ MOP Collings logo
Peghead Binding: None

ELECTRONICS
Pickups: Single Lollar Charlie Christian (neck)
Pickup Rings: Black
Pots/Caps: CTS 500K / Jupiter Vintage Yellow
Wiring: Modern
Knobs: Amber or black top hat

HARDWARE
Bridge: Adjustable ebony
Tailpiece: Ebony
Tuners: Nickel Gotoh w/ Collings logo
Strings: D'Addario NYXL1252W (.012" - .052", Wound 3rd)

DIMENSIONS
Body Width: 16"
Body Length: 20 1/4"
Body Depth: 2 1/2"
Total Length: 42 5/8"

CASE
Case: Deluxe hardshell case
