collings-i-35-deluxe
Collings I-35 Deluxe

The I-35 Deluxe is Collings' solid-wood semi-hollow at its fullest trim. Grained ivoroid binds the body, the rosewood fingerboard and the ebony-faced peghead, and the top hat knobs, pickup rings and truss rod cover are grained ivoroid too, made in-house by Collings for its Deluxe instruments. There is no pickguard, so the carved premium flamed maple top shows end to end. The guitar in the photo carries the optional quilted maple top and parallelogram inlays.

Underneath it is the I-35: a Honduran mahogany body with a maple centre block, which resists feedback, a top carved with high arches and recurve, two Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers and 50s-style wiring, with a Kluson ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece. The neck has a 1 11/16" nut and a 24 7/8" scale.

The I-35 is this guitar with non-grained ivoroid and a pickguard.
