fender-american-ultra-ii-meteora-bass
Fender American Ultra II Meteora Bass

The American Ultra II Meteora Bass puts two Haymaker Bass Humbuckers in the offset Meteora body on a 34" scale. They feed the Ultra II active preamp: a pan pot to blend the pickups, stacked treble and bass boost and cut, midrange boost and cut with a mini-toggle for 325 Hz or 750 Hz, and an S-1 switch on the volume that drops it into passive mode with its own tone control.

The quartersawn maple neck is graphite reinforced with Posiflex support rods, in the flatter Modern "D" profile with a 1.5" nut. The 10" to 14" compound radius, rolled edges and Luminlay side dots carry over from the rest of the series, and Ultra contours with a sculpted heel open up the top of the 21 frets. The HiMass bridge strings through the body or loads from the top.

For the same preamp with single-coils in a Jazz Bass body, look at the American Ultra II Jazz Bass. For a split pickup plus a Jazz at the bridge, the American Ultra II Precision Bass.

Texas Tea comes with an ebony board, Solar Flare with quartersawn maple.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: Select Alder
Body Finish: Gloss Urethane
Body Shape: Meteora Bass
Pickguard: 1-Ply Silver Anodized Aluminum or 1-Ply Black Anodized Aluminum (by finish)

NECK
Neck Material: Quartersawn Maple
Neck Construction: 5-Bolt
Neck Finish: Ultra Satin Urethane
Neck Shape: Modern "D"
Fingerboard Radius: 10" to 14" Compound Radius (254 mm to 355.6 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Ebony or Quartersawn Maple (by finish)
Position Inlays: White Pearloid Dot - 7 mm or Black Pearloid Dot - 7 mm (by finish)
Side Dots: Luminlay
Number of Frets: 21
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo
Truss Rod: Posiflex Graphite Neck Support Rods
Nut Material: Graph Tech TUSQ
Nut Width: 1.5" (38.1 mm)
Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Haymaker Bass Humbucker
Middle Pickup: Haymaker Bass Humbucker
Pickup Configuration: HH
Controls: Master Volume (with S-1 Switch), Pan Pot (Pickup Selector), Stacked Concentric Midrange Boost/Cut + Passive Tone Control, Stacked Concentric Treble Boost/Cut + Bass Boost/Cut, Mini-Toggle Midrange Frequency Selector
Switching: Pan Pot
Special Electronics: S-1 Switch on Volume Selects Active Mode (Up Position) or Passive Mode (Down Position); 2-Way Mini-Toggle Midrange Frequency Selector (325 Hz or 750 Hz)

HARDWARE
Bridge: 4-Saddle Adjustable HiMass (String-Through-Body or Top-Load)
Hardware Finish: Nickel/Chrome
Tuning Machines: Fender "F" Light-Weight Vintage-Paddle Keys with Tapered Shafts
Pickup Covers: Black
Control Knobs: Heavy Knurled Flat-Top
Strap Buttons: Locking
Strings: Fender USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel (.045-.105 Gauges), PN 0737250406

CASE
Case: Deluxe Molded Case (Included)
