fender-blu-detiger-jazz-bass
Fender Blu DeTiger Jazz Bass

Blu DeTiger's Jazz Bass is built around her pop and funk playing, and it looks the part: Sky Burst Sparkle with a matching painted headstock, a mirrored pickguard and chrome hardware. The body is chambered ash, which takes weight out of the bass for long sets.

The pickups are a Custom Blu DeTiger Fireball Bass Humbucker at the bridge and a Player Plus Noiseless Jazz Bass in the neck slot, blended with a pan pot rather than two volumes. An 18V active preamp gives you treble, mid and bass boost and cut, and a mini toggle switches to passive, so the bass keeps playing if the battery dies. The 1966 "C" neck has a satin back, a 9.5" slab rosewood board and vintage tall frets, which make notes easy to grip with less fingertip drag on the board.

For a passive, traditional Jazz Bass, compare the American Professional Classic Jazz Bass or the American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Body Material: Chambered Ash
Body Finish: Gloss Polyester
Body Shape: Jazz Bass
Pickguard: 1-Ply Mirrored

NECK
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Construction: 4-Bolt
Neck Finish: Natural Satin Urethane with Gloss Matching Headstock
Neck Shape: 1966 "C"
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Slab Rosewood
Position Inlays: White Pearloid Dot - 7 mm
Side Dots: Black
Number of Frets: 20
Fret Size: Vintage Tall
Truss Rod: Head Adjust
Nut Material: Synthetic Bone
Nut Width: 1.5" (38.1 mm)
Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Custom Blu DeTiger Fireball Bass Humbucker
Middle Pickup: Player Plus Noiseless Jazz Bass
Pickup Configuration: HS
Controls: Master Volume, Pan Pot (Pickup Selector), Treble Boost/Cut, Midrange Boost/Cut, Bass Boost/Cut, Active/Passive Mini Toggle
Switching: Pan Pot

HARDWARE
Bridge: 4-Saddle Vintage Style with Single-Groove Steel "Barrel" Saddles
Hardware Finish: Nickel/Chrome
Tuning Machines: Standard Open-Gear
Pickup Covers: Aged White
Control Knobs: Knurled Chrome
Strap Buttons: Vintage-Style
Strings: Fender 7250M Nickel Plated Steel Roundwound, Long Scale, (.045-.105 Gauges), PN 0737250406

CASE
Case: Deluxe Gig Bag
