fender-custom-shop-albert-collins-signature-telecaster
Fender Custom Shop Albert Collins Signature Telecaster

The Albert Collins Telecaster recreates the Ice Man's '66 Custom Telecaster, and its layout is what set his guitar apart: a Texas Special single-coil at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker at the neck.

The body is ash with white binding in a Natural finish, with a 3-ply white pickguard. The "C" shape maple neck has a 9.5" radius maple board and 21 vintage-style frets, a comfortable middle ground between vintage roundness and flatter modern boards. Master volume, master tone and a three-way blade keep the controls simple, and the strings pass through the body.

For a bound Tele in a more traditional form, with two single-coils and relic wear, compare the 1960 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic.

The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: Select Ash
Body Finish: Urethane
Body Shape: Telecaster
Body Binding: White
Pickguard: 3-Ply White
Aging: NOS

NECK
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Gloss Urethane
Neck Shape: "C" Shape
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Maple
Position Inlays: Black Dot
Number of Frets: 21
Fret Size: Vintage-Style
Nut Material: Synthetic Bone
Nut Width: 1.650" (42 mm)
Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Custom Shop Texas Special Single-Coil Strat
Neck Pickup: Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N
Pickup Configuration: SH
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone
Switching: 3-Position Blade: Position 1.
