A lightweight two-piece select ash body, a quartersawn maple neck with the 1960 Jazz Bass \"U\" carve, and a pair of Custom Shop Hand-Wound Vintage Jazz Bass pickups with a volume for each and a master tone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \"U\" is a full, rounded carve that fills the hand, and the 1.5\" bone nut keeps the narrow Jazz Bass feel in first position. A 9.5\" radius and 20 Medium Jumbo (6150) frets play flatter than a vintage board. Quartersawn maple is stiffer and more stable through the seasons than flatsawn.
