fender-custom-shop-american-custom-telecaster-nos
Fender Custom Shop American Custom Telecaster NOS

The American Custom Telecaster is a Custom Shop Tele built for modern playability. A two-piece select ash body with an offset seam, a 3A roasted flame maple neck with a Modern "C" carve, and 22 Medium Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 9.5" to 12" compound radius.

The pickups are a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Original Blackguard Single-Coil Tele at the bridge and a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Twisted Single-Coil Tele at the neck, on a three-way blade with master volume and tone. The bridge is a 3-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body Tele with RSD saddles. The compound radius feels round for chords near the nut and flattens out so high bends don't choke, and stainless frets resist wear and stay smooth.

Aged Blue Agave comes with a 3A Rosewood fingerboard. Sapphire Blue Transparent and Honey Blonde have a one-piece roasted 3A flame maple neck. For a vintage-leaning feel, the American Custom Telecaster Thinline NOS has a '60s Oval "C" neck and narrow tall frets in a semi-hollow body.

The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: 2-Piece Select Ash with Offset Seam
Body Finish: WLS Undercoat
Body Shape: Telecaster or Stratocaster (by finish)
Aging: NOS

NECK
Neck Material: 3A Roasted Flame Maple
Neck Finish: Nitrocellulose Lacquer
Neck Shape: Modern "C"
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" to 12" Compound Radius
Fingerboard Material: 3A Rosewood or 1-Piece Roasted 3A Flame Maple Neck (by finish)
Position Inlays: Mother of Pearl Dot - 0.25"
Number of Frets: 22
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo Stainless Steel
Truss Rod: Early '60s
Nut Material: Bone
Nut Width: 1.650" (42 mm)
Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Original Blackguard Single-Coil Tele
Neck Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Twisted Single-Coil Tele
Pickup Configuration: Single Coil
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone
Switching: 3-Position Blade: Position 1.
