fender-custom-shop-john-5-signature-bigsby-telecaster
Fender Custom Shop John 5 Signature Bigsby Telecaster

John 5's Bigsby Telecaster pairs a classic slab Tele with heavier rock hardware: a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails Tele at the bridge, a Custom Shop "Twisted" single-coil Tele at the neck and a Bigsby vibrato with a flat handle. The select ash body is in Black with a chrome pickguard and a matching black headstock in a three-over-three Tele shape.

The modern "C" maple neck has a 12" radius rosewood board and 22 medium jumbo frets, a flatter board that suits fast lead work and big bends. Locking tuners help the Bigsby return to pitch, and the bridge has six adjustable saddles for accurate intonation. Controls are master volume, master tone and a three-way blade.

For the same body and neck with a fixed bridge, an Enforcer humbucker and a toggle switch, compare the John 5 Signature Telecaster.

The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: Select Ash
Body Finish: Urethane
Body Shape: Telecaster
Pickguard: 1-Ply Chrome
Aging: NOS

NECK
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Gloss Urethane
Neck Shape: Modern "C"
Fingerboard Radius: 12" (305 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Rosewood
Position Inlays: White Dot
Number of Frets: 22
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo
Nut Material: Synthetic Bone
Nut Width: 1.6875" (42.86 mm)
Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Seymour Duncan Hot Rails Tele STHR-1B
Neck Pickup: Custom Shop "Twisted" Single-Coil Tele
Pickup Configuration: HS
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone
Switching: 3-Position Blade: Position 1.
