fender-custom-shop-postmodern-strat-rw-nos
Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Strat RW NOS

The headline here is the neck: solid rosewood, not maple with a rosewood board, in a satin nitro finish. It sits on a two-piece select ash body with a NOS lacquer finish, so the guitar starts out clean and ages with your playing.

The neck has a '60s Oval "C" carve and a 3A rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" to 12" compound radius, rounder near the nut for chords and flatter higher up for bends, with narrow tall 6105 frets and a bone nut. Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Troposphere single-coils, with a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity middle, run through a five-way blade with master volume, master tone and a blend control. The bridge is an RSD Stratocaster Tremolo with vintage-style steel saddles.

For the Postmodern recipe on a maple neck with relic wear, see the Postmodern Stratocaster Journeyman Relic with Closet Classic Hardware, in Maple or Rosewood. This one comes in Aged Tomatillo Green or Aged Natural.

The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: 2-Piece Select Ash
Body Finish: Nitrocellulose Lacquer
Body Shape: Stratocaster
Aging: NOS

NECK
Neck Material: Rosewood
Neck Finish: Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer
Neck Shape: '60s Oval "C"
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" to 12" Compound Radius
Fingerboard Material: 3A Rosewood
Position Inlays: White Micarta Dot - 0.25"
Number of Frets: 21
Fret Size: Narrow Tall (6105)
Nut Material: Bone
Nut Width: 1.650" (42 mm)
Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Troposphere Single-Coil Strat
Middle Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Troposphere Single-Coil Strat
Neck Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Troposphere Single-Coil Strat
Pickup Configuration: SSS
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone, Blend
Switching: 5-Position Blade: Position 1.
