Position 1 is the bridge pickup, with a blend control that brings in the neck pickup. Position 2 is the neck pickup with no tone circuit, and position 3 is the neck pickup with a preset deep rhythm tone. The rift sawn maple neck has a 10\/56 \"V\" carve and a 7.25\" to 9.5\" compound radius, rounder near the nut for chords and flatter up the neck for bends, with medium vintage frets. The bridge is strings-through-body with brass saddles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the production guitar that followed, look at the 1951 Nocaster.
