This recreation keeps the details: a two-piece sandwich style pine body about 1.5\" thick, slightly thinner than later guitars, and a one-piece rift sawn maple neck with no truss rod, as on the originals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA single Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50-'51 Blackguard Single-Coil Tele pickup sits in the bridge, on full Esquire wiring: position 1 sends the pickup straight to the output jack, position 2 adds the volume control, and position 3 adds volume and tone. The neck has a 1950 Esquire \"U\" carve and a 7.25\" to 9.5\" compound radius. With no truss rod, the neck relief can't be adjusted the usual way, so the guitar is happiest in a stable climate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe finish is NOS flash coat lacquer with only slight aging to the metal parts.
