fender-jack-white-triplecaster-telecaster
Fender Jack White Triplecaster Telecaster

The Triplecaster is Jack White's working Telecaster, and very little about it is standard. The body is chambered ash, the neck a mid '50s soft "V" on a flat 12" radius maple board with 22 medium jumbo frets, and the three pickups are all his: a CuNiFe Wide-Range humbucker at the neck, a JW-90 single-coil in the middle and a custom Jack White humbucker at the bridge.

The controls are where it gets unusual. Alongside the three-way blade and master volume and tone, a toggle on the control plate flicks up to mute the guitar and down to send the selected pickups straight to the jack with the volume and tone bypassed. An arcade-style Stutter switch lets you chop the signal rhythmically. A Hipshot Xtender drops the low E to D with a flip, and there is a Bigsby B5 vibrato behind a custom "cut-off" bridge with compensated steel saddles.

Small details carry through: white powder coat hardware, three equidistant dots at the 12th fret, no marker at the 21st, and a custom neck plate. It comes in Black with a maple fingerboard and comes with a vintage-style black case with white end caps.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Material: Chambered Ash
Body Finish: Gloss Urethane
Body Shape: Telecaster
Pickguard: 1-Ply White

NECK
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Construction: 4-Bolt
Neck Finish: Natural Satin Urethane with Gloss Matching Headstock
Neck Shape: Soft "V"
Fingerboard Radius: 12" (305 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Maple
Position Inlays: Black Dots, 3 Equidistant Dots at 12th Fret, No Inlay at 21st Fret
Side Dots: Black Dots with 3 Equidistant Dots at 12th Fret
Number of Frets: 22
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo
Truss Rod: Head Adjust
Nut Material: Bone
Nut Width: 1.650" (42 mm)
Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Custom Jack White Humbucker
Middle Pickup: Custom Jack White JW-90 Single-Coil
Neck Pickup: Custom Jack White CuNiFe Wide-Range Humbucker
Pickup Configuration: HSH
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone
Switching: Master Volume, Master Tone, Toggle Switch with Stealth Knob Tip
Auxiliary Switching: 3-Position Toggle with Stealth Knob Tip (Mounted on Control Plate): Position 1. “Mute”, Position 2.
