friedman-buxom-boost
Friedman Buxom Boost Pedal

The Buxom Boost is a clean boost named after Friedman's Buxom Betty head. The Boost knob sets how much level you add, for pushing the front of a tube amp into overdrive, lifting a solo above the band, or evening out two guitars with different outputs. An active three-band EQ sits after it: Bass and Mid boost, Treble boosts or cuts.

Flip the EQ Bypass switch and the EQ comes out of the circuit, leaving a straight volume lift that doesn't change your sound. The Tight control is there for when the boost makes a tube amp's low end loose. Friedman says the circuit is quiet enough for acoustic-electric guitars too.

It takes 9V or 18V, and the higher voltage gives it more headroom. Built in the USA. Among the Friedman pedals here, this is the clean one: the BE-OD, Dirty Shirley and Smallbox add their own drive, and the Sir Compre adds compression with a gain knob of its own.

SPECIFICATIONS

FEATURES
Country of Origin: United States
Type: Boost
Plenty of headroom for getting above a mix or driving the front end of an amp
EQ Bypass switch removes the 3-band EQ from the signal for a truly transparent tone
High-quality circuit keeps it quiet enough for use with acoustic-electric instruments

CONTROLS
Boost: Boost control
EQ: Active 3-band EQ with boost bass and mid controls and boost/cut treble control
Tight: Tight control tames your boosted amp's low end
EQ Bypass: EQ Bypass switch

POWER
Power: Accepts 9V or 18V power for higher-headroom performance

DIMENSIONS
Weight: 1 lbs
