The body is chambered mahogany in black, with a silver plexi pickguard, chrome hardware, an offset strap button on the lower bout, and his signature on the truss rod cover.

Two DynaSonic single-coils run through a volume for each pickup, a tone control and a three-way toggle. The bridge is a rocking bar on a rosewood base, and the Bigsby B3C has a black Phillips head pivot bolt for the arm, one of the details taken from the original. The 1-piece mahogany neck is a "U" shape with a 12" radius rosewood board, pearloid hump block inlays, vintage small frets and a bone nut.

For a Duo Jet built to Gretsch's own 1957 spec, compare the G6128T-57 Vintage Select '57 Duo Jet. The '53 goes back to the model's first year.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Japan
Body Material: Chambered Mahogany
Body Finish: Gloss Urethane
Body Shape: Jet
Pickguard: Silver Plexi with Black Gretsch Logo

NECK
Neck Material: 1-Piece Mahogany
Neck Finish: Gloss Urethane
Neck Shape: "U" Shape
Fingerboard Radius: 12" (305 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Rosewood
Position Inlays: Pearloid Hump Block
Number of Frets: 22
Fret Size: Vintage Small
Nut Material: Bone
Nut Width: 1.6875" (42.86 mm)
Scale Length: 24.6" (625 mm)

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: DynaSonic
Neck Pickup: DynaSonic
Controls: Volume 1.
