martin-000-28ec
Martin 000-28EC

The 000-28EC is a 000-14 Fret in East Indian rosewood with a spruce top, scalloped X-bracing and a genuine mahogany neck in the Modified V shape with the Standard Taper. It has a 1 3/4" nut on a 24.9" scale, and the abalone Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern on the ebony board includes an Eric Clapton signature inlaid in awabi.

Fine herringbone around the top and rosette, antique white binding, a gloss neck and nickel open-gear tuners keep the styling vintage. The headplate is East Indian rosewood with the Script Old Style Overlay logo.

It comes in Natural, with an Antique Toner on the top, or Sunburst, which is Martin's 1935 Sunburst. The shop would pick the Natural, where the light toner leaves the herringbone and abalone as the main detail. For the same rosewood 000 without the signature details, look at the 000-28. The 000-EC 30th Anniversary has a 1 11/16" Authentic 1939 neck and GE 42 Snowflake inlays.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA (Nazareth, Pennsylvania)
Body Size: 000-14 Fret
Construction: Dovetail Neck Joint
Back Material: East Indian Rosewood
Side Material: East Indian Rosewood
Back and Sides Finish: Gloss
Back Purfling/Strip: Zig-Zag
Back Inlay Material: Multi-Stripe
Bracing Pattern: X-Brace
Brace Shape: Scalloped
Brace Material: Spruce
Brace Size: 5/16"
Endpiece: Antique White
Endpiece Inlay: Multi-Stripe
Top Material: Spruce
Finish Top: Gloss
Top Color: Antique Toner (Natural) / 1935 Sunburst (Sunburst)
Top Inlay Material: Fine Herringbone
Binding: Antique White
Pickguard: Tortoise Pattern
Rosette: Fine Herringbone with Multi-Stripe

NECK
Neck Shape: Modified V
Neck Taper: Standard Taper
Neck Material: Genuine Mahogany
Neck Color: Dark Mahogany
Finish Neck: Gloss
Scale Length: 24.9"
Number of Frets Total: 20
Neck Joins Body At: 14th Fret
Heelcap: Antique White
Fingerboard Material: Ebony
Fingerboard Width at 12th Fret: 2 1/4''
Fingerboard Width at Nut: 1 3/4''
Fingerboard Inlay Style: Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern with Eric Clapton Signature
Fingerboard Inlay Material: Abalone with Awabi Clapton Signature
Side Dots: White
Headstock Shape: Solid with Square Taper and Diamond
Headplate Material: East Indian Rosewood
Headplate Logo Style: Script Old Style Overlay
Pleked: Yes

HARDWARE
Bridge Material: Ebony
Bridge Style: Modern Belly - Drop in Saddle
Bridge String Spacing: 2 1/4''
Bridge Pin Material: White Plastic
Bridge Pin Dots: Black Plastic
Saddle: Compensated Bone
Saddle Radius: 16"
Tuning Machines: Nickel Open Gear
Knob: Butterbean
Nut Material: Bone

CASE
Case: Ply Hardshell
