prs-mt-100-head
PRS MT 100 Head

The MT 100 is the full-size Tremonti head: 100 watts from four 6L6GC power tubes, eight 12AX7s and three channels (Clean, Overdrive and Lead), each on its own circuit with dedicated preamp tubes. The control set is identical on all three, so every channel gets a 3-band EQ, Presence and its own Master.

PRS describes the Clean and Lead channels as following the MT 15. The Overdrive channel is new here, modelled after one of Tremonti's favourite personal amps. The amp face and the three-button footswitch both show matching channel lights. One practical note from PRS: start with the Master low on Overdrive, and keep it under 10 o'clock on Lead.

Our pairing is the Archon 4x12 Cabinet, which handles 280 watts at 16 ohms to match the amp's 16 ohm output. For a smaller rig built on the same voicings, the MT 15 Head is the one to look at.

SPECIFICATIONS

AMPLIFIER
Country of Origin: Indonesia
Available Configurations: Head
Channels: (3) Clean, Overdrive, & Lead
Wattage: 100

TUBES
Power Tubes: (4) 6L6GC
Preamp Tubes: (8) 12AX7
V1: Input
V2: Clean Channel
V3 & V4: Overdrive Channel
V5 & V6: Lead Channel
V7: Effects Loop
V8: Phase Inverter

CONTROLS
Lead Channel: Treble, Middle, Bass, Master Volume, Gain, Presence
Overdrive Channel: Treble, Middle, Bass, Master Volume, Gain, Presence
Clean Channel: Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Master Volume, Presence

CONNECTIONS
Inlet: Fused Power Inlet (IEC)
H.T.
