prs-mt-15-head
PRS MT 15 Head

The MT 15 is Mark Tremonti's 15-watt head, two channels in a black metal chassis 14 inches wide, with a pair of TAD 6L6GCM-STR power tubes and six 12AX7s. Tremonti's brief, as PRS tells it, was a lot of tone and features in a little box.

The Lead channel runs five gain stages ahead of the Master, the same approach PRS takes on the Archon. Pull its treble knob and two of those stages drop out for a vintage, crunchier mid-gain sound. On the Clean channel, the treble knob pulls for a boost that adds a little overdrive. A half-power switch takes it from 15 to 7 watts at home, and the effects loop is tube driven.

PRS built the MT 1x12 Cabinet to go with it (closed back, Celestion Vintage 30, 16 ohms). If you need three channels and a stage-sized head, the MT 100 Head carries the same Clean and Lead voicings and adds an Overdrive channel.

SPECIFICATIONS

AMPLIFIER
Country of Origin: Indonesia
Available Configurations: Head
Channels: Lead & Clean
Wattage: 15/7 (Switchable)

TUBES
Power Tubes: (2) TAD 6L6GCM-STR
Preamp Tubes: (6) 12AX7 / ECC83
V1: Input
V2: Clean
V3: Lead
V4: Lead
V5: Loop
V6: Phase Inverter

CONTROLS
Lead Channel: Treble (with pull overdrive), Middle, Bass, Master Volume, Gain
Clean Channel: Volume, Treble (with pull boost), Middle, Bass
Global Controls: Presence

CONNECTIONS
Inlet: Fused Power Inlet (IEC)
Effects Loop: Series, Tube Driven
Extension Speaker Jacks: 3
Ohm Switching: (2) 8 ohm parallel, (1) 16 ohm
Bias: Adjustable with Monitoring Jacks

HARDWARE
Cabinet Material / Construction: Black Metal Construction

DIMENSIONS
Amp Width: 14" (35.56 cm)
Amp Depth: 9" (22.86 cm)
Amp Height: 10" (25.4 cm) (including feet)
Amp Weight: 17.8 lbs (8.07 kg)

ACCESSORIES
Included Accessories: 1-Button Footswitch (Channel Gain/Clean), Amp Cover
