suhr-ian-thornley-signature-series-classic-s-antique
Suhr Ian Thornley Signature Series Classic S Antique

The Ian Thornley Signature Series Classic S Antique is a Classic S built around two Suhr Aldrich humbuckers, with a V63+ single coil between them. Each tone control is a push/push switch that puts its humbucker into parallel, so neck and bridge can each run series or parallel on their own.

The roasted maple neck is carved to the Ian Thornley V, .875" to .970", a fuller carve than the Classic S and its 60's C, with a 16" radius, jumbo stainless steel frets and a gold decal logo. Stainless frets wear far more slowly than nickel. The body is alder, with Suhr locking tuners and a 2-Post Tremolo with solid saddles and a steel block.

The two finishes are dressed differently. Sonic White has a roasted maple board, an aged green 3-ply guard and raw nickel Aldrich covers. Roughneck has an Indian rosewood board, a tortoise 3-ply guard and reverse zebra Aldriches. For the same V neck and series/parallel idea on the offset body, look at the Ian Thornley Signature Series Classic JM.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: United States
Body Shape: Classic S
Body Wood: Alder
Pickguard: Aged Green 3-Ply (Sonic White) or Tortoise 3-Ply (Roughneck)

NECK
Neck Wood: Roasted Maple
Neck Finish: Satin
Fingerboard Wood: Roasted Maple (Sonic White) or Indian Rosewood (Roughneck)
Neck Back Shape: Ian Thornley V .875"-.970"
Fingerboard Radius: 16"
Frets: Jumbo Stainless Steel (.057"x.110")
Nut: 1.650" Tusq
Logo: Gold Decal

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: Aldrich (Raw Nickel) (Sonic White) or Aldrich (Reverse Zebra) (Roughneck)
Middle Pickup (optional): V63+ (Parchment) (Sonic White) or V63+ (Aged Parchment) (Roughneck)
Neck Pickup: Aldrich (Raw Nickel) (Sonic White) or Aldrich (Reverse Zebra) (Roughneck)
Control Options: Tone 1: push/push, parallel neck humbucker; Tone 2: push/push, parallel bridge humbucker

HARDWARE
Tuning Machines: Suhr Locking
Bridge: 2-Post Tremolo (Solid Saddles - Steel Block)
Color: Chrome
Case: Travel Pro - Premium Softshell Case
