suhr-scott-henderson-signature-series-classic-s
Suhr Scott Henderson Signature Series Classic S

John Suhr has been building modified Classic S guitars for Scott Henderson since 1991, and Scott was the first artist to endorse Suhr Guitars. The Signature Series Classic S is that spec made available as a production model: a lightweight alder body in gloss, a roasted maple neck in a D Shape carve, .800" to .880", and an Indian rosewood board on a flat 16" radius with jumbo nickel frets.

Most of the custom work is in the bridge, a modified six-screw unit with a custom steel block and a shorter, thicker steel arm, with the mounting holes drilled oversize and wood taken out of the trem cavity for more travel. Suhr sets it to pull up a major third on the G string and push down about an octave on the A. The back has no cavity cover and no screw holes for one.

Pickups are three V63+ single coils in aged green, with the bridge pickup wound not hot, and SSCII for hum cancelling. Fiesta Orange, Seafoam Green and Olympic White share the same spec. For a compound radius and stainless frets on the same shape, look at the Classic S.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: United States
Body Shape: Classic S
Body Finish: Gloss
Body Wood: Lightweight Alder

NECK
Neck Wood: Roasted Maple
Neck Finish: Satin
Fingerboard Wood: Indian Rosewood
Neck Back Shape: D Shape .800"-.880"
Fingerboard Radius: 16"
Frets: Jumbo Nickel (.057"x.110")
Nut: 1.650" Tusq
Headstock: Laser Engraved Scott Henderson Signature

ELECTRONICS
Bridge Pickup: V63+ (not hot) - Aged Green
Middle Pickup: V63+ - Aged Green
Neck Pickup: V63+ - Aged Green
SSCII: Equipped

HARDWARE
Tuning Machines: Suhr Locking
Bridge: Modified Fender® Six Screw Bridge (includes custom made steel block and shortened steel tremolo arm)
Color: Chrome
Tremolo Cavity Cover: No Cavity Cover, No Screw Holes
Knobs: Aged Green
Tremolo Range: Set to pull up a major third on the G string and push down approximately one octave on the A string; wood removed inside the tremolo cavity for increased range
Case: Travel Pro - Premium Softshell Case
