taylor-14ce
Taylor 14ce

The 14ce is a full-size Grand Auditorium on a 25-1/2" scale, with a Venetian cutaway, a torrefied spruce top and layered sapele back and sides. The neck is Hard Rock Maple with no heel, on a West African Crelicam ebony board, and a Fishman Presys VT handles the plugged-in sound. Taylor gives the roasted top a clear, articulate voice with good projection and some added warmth.

The appointments are kept minimal: matte finish throughout, faux pearl 4mm dots and no binding. The 24ce is built the same way with a solid mahogany top in place of the spruce, which Taylor voices warm, dry and focused on the midrange. For Expression System 2 and layered walnut back and sides on a Grand Auditorium, look at the 214ce.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Body Shape: Grand Auditorium
Cutaway: Venetian Cutaway
Bracing System: C-Class Bracing
Number of Strings: 6 String
Top Wood: Torrefied Spruce
Back/Side Wood: Sapele
Rosette: Black Plastic Single Ring
Back Configuration: Layered, 2-Piece
Body Binding: None
Armrest: None
Top Finish: Matte
Back/Side Finish: Matte

NECK
Neck Wood: Hard Rock Maple
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Faux Pearl 4mm Dots
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Nut Width: 1-11/16"
Peghead Veneer Wood: Copafera
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Finish: Matte

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: Fishman Presys VT

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: White NuBone Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black ABS Plastic
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: Black
Tuners: Die-cast Chrome with Chrome Buttons
Strap Pin: Chrome
End Pin: Chrome

CASE
Case/Bag: Gig Bag

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-14ce-LTD-2201145102-FrontLeft-2025_sq.jpg?v=1791347933
