taylor-217e-plus
Taylor 217e Plus

The 217e Plus is the Grand Pacific, Taylor's round-shoulder dreadnought, in the 200 Series with the Plus appointments and gloss over the whole body. It has a torrefied spruce top on C-Class bracing and a 25-1/2" scale, and Taylor voices it warm and vintage-leaning, with bold projection and clear bass. Expression System 2 is built in.

The Sunburst has a Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck in matte, black binding, Taylor nickel tuners and faux pearl 50th Anniversary Diamonds inlays. The Black has a gloss Hard Rock Maple neck, white binding, Taylor satin black tuners and faux pearl 4mm dots. On a round-shoulder dreadnought we'd lean toward the Sunburst, which suits the shape's traditional lines and carries the Diamonds inlays.

For the same body in the 100 Series, look at the 117e.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Body Shape: Grand Pacific
Bracing System: C-Class Bracing
Number of Strings: 6 String
Top Wood: Torrefied Spruce
Rosette: Faux Pearl Single Ring
Back Configuration: Layered, 2-Piece
Body Binding: Black
Armrest: None
Top Finish: Gloss
Back/Side Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Faux Pearl 50th Anniversary Diamonds
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Nut Width: 1-11/16"
Peghead Veneer Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Finish: Matte

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: Expression System® 2

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: White NuBone Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black ABS Plastic
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: Black
Tuners: Taylor Nickel with Nickel Buttons
Strap Pin: Chrome
End Pin: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-217e-SB-Plus-2210044001-FrontLeft-2025_sq.jpg?v=1791348066
