The torrefied spruce top sits over layered walnut back and sides on X bracing, with a tortoise pickguard, a slim neck and ES-B electronics for plugging in.

For a solid walnut top on the same body, look at the Academy 22e. The Academy 10e is the Dreadnought, and the Academy 12e-N has nylon strings.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Body Shape: Grand Concert
Cutaway: Non-cutaway
Bracing System: X Bracing
Number of Strings: 6 String
Top Wood: Torrefied Spruce
Back/Side Wood: Layered Walnut
Back Configuration: Layered
Body Binding: None
Armrest: Yes
Top Finish: Matte
Back/Side Finish: Matte

NECK
Neck Wood: Mahogany or Maple
Fretboard Wood: Ebony or Eucalyptus (based on availability)
Fretboard Inlay: 4mm Dot Italian Acrylic
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Scale Length: 24-7/8"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Standard
Peghead Binding: None

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: ES-B

HARDWARE
Bridge: Eucalyptus
Nut & Saddle: Nubone Nut, Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: Tortoise
Tuners: Chrome (100/200)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Academy-12e-2210093198-FrontLeft-2023_sq.jpg?v=1791348389
