taylor-academy-22e
Taylor Academy 22e

The Academy 22e is a non-cutaway Grand Concert in walnut all round, a solid walnut top over layered walnut back and sides. Taylor gives it a warm, focused voice with each note distinct, and it stays that way through the ES-B pickup, which has a digital tuner built in. A walnut bevel armrest sits on the lower bout, the scale is 24-7/8", and the Hard Rock Maple neck carries a West African Crelicam ebony board. There is no pickguard, so the walnut top shows from edge to edge.

For a torrefied spruce top on the same body, look at the Academy 12e. The Jacob Collier Academy 22e 5-String is a walnut Grand Concert built as a five-string in DAEAD tuning.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Cutaway: Non-cutaway
Top Wood: Walnut
Back Configuration: Layered
Body Binding: None
Armrest: Walnut Bevel
Top Finish: Matte
Back/Side Finish: Matte

NECK
Neck Wood: Hard Rock Maple
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Fretboard Inlay: 4mm Dot Italian Acrylic
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Scale Length: 24-7/8"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle, Standard
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Finish: Matte

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: ES-B

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: Nubone Nut, Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black Plastic
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: None
Tuners: Die-Cast Chrome

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Academy-22e-2203153192-FrontLeft-2023_sq.jpg?v=1791348408
