taylor-bt2
Taylor Baby Mahogany BT2

The Baby Mahogany BT2 is the all-mahogany Baby Taylor: a solid mahogany top in place of spruce, over layered back and sides. It keeps the 22-3/4" scale, the slim neck and the Baby paddle peghead, with an ebony bridge and a matte finish throughout.

Like the BT1, it suits younger players, smaller hands and travel, and the short scale means less of a reach between frets. The choice between the two comes down to which top you'd rather look at and hear, mahogany here or torrefied spruce on the Baby Taylor BT1. For a Baby with electronics, see the Baby Taylor BT1e or the Baby Taylor BTe Koa.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Cutaway: Non-cutaway
Top Wood: Mahogany
Back Configuration: Layered, 2-Piece
Body Binding: None
Armrest: No
Top Finish: Matte
Back/Side Finish: Matte

NECK
Neck Wood: Mahogany or Maple
Fretboard Wood: Ebony or Eucalyptus (based on availability)
Fretboard Inlay: 4mm Dot Italian Acrylic
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Scale Length: 22-3/4"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle - Baby
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Finish: Matte

HARDWARE
Bridge: Ebony
Nut & Saddle: Nubone Nut, Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: None
Tuners: Die-Cast Chrome
