Taylor describes a complex voice from the pairing, warm and responsive while keeping its power and clarity, and the scalloped V-Class bracing brings out more volume, sustain and open-string response.

The bevelled armrest, bevelled cutaway and chamfered body edges are the Builder's Edition comfort work. The Action Control Neck adjusts string height in seconds without detuning, and the Claria undersaddle pickup and preamp are there for playing live.

The 900 Series appointments set it apart from the 814ce versions: Belle Fleur inlays, a paua rosette, abalone-dotted ebony bridge pins and Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold, with a gloss Shaded Edgeburst.

For the same top and back with 800 Series appointments, look at the Builder's Edition 814ce Honduran Rosewood/Sinker Redwood. The Next Generation PS14ce takes the pairing into the Presentation Series, and the Builder's Edition 914ce Indian Rosewood/Lutz Spruce is the other 914ce Builder's Edition.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Cutaway: Beveled Cutaway
Bracing System: Scalloped V-Class Bracing with Relief Rout
Top Wood: Sinker Redwood
Back Configuration: 2-piece or 4-piece Simons Wedge
Body Binding: Rock Maple
Armrest: Bevel, Wood, Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Top Finish: Gloss
Back/Side Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Fretboard Inlay: Belle Fleur, Mother of Pearl
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Satin
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: Belle Fleur, Mother of Pearl
Peghead Type: Paddle, Standard
Peghead Binding: West African Crelicam Ebony
Peghead Finish: Gloss

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: The Claria Acoustic Pickup System

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: Tusq Nut, Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: West African Ebony with Green Abalone Dots
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: None
Tuners: Gotoh

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Next-Generation-Builders-Edition-914ce-Honduran-Rosewood-Sinker-Redwood-1212125022-FrontLeft-2026_sq.jpg?v=1791348554
https://lauzonmusic.com/products/taylor-builders-edition-914ce-next-generation-honduran-rosewood-sinker-redwood
