taylor-gold-label-k14e
Taylor Gold Label K14e

The Gold Label K14e is Andy Powers' design in Hawaiian koa: koa back and sides with a torrefied Sitka spruce top in the Super Auditorium, which follows the Grand Auditorium with slightly wider contours for more volume and low end. Taylor describes strong, rich mids with the warmth and depth more often heard in older, played-in guitars.

Fanned V-Class bracing adds volume and sustain and keeps the sound focused when the guitar is played loud. The long-tenon neck joint improves transfer between neck and body and keeps string height easy to adjust.

The appointments follow the Gold Label 814e: mother-of-pearl Continental inlays, an engraved ivoroid and tortoise pickguard, a Honduran rosewood bridge, grained ivoroid trim and Gotoh 510 antique chrome tuners with ebony buttons. A full gloss finish brings out the koa's figure and colour variation. Electronics are an LR Baggs Element VTC.

It comes in Natural or Sunburst. The Natural leaves the roasted top in its own colour, and the Sunburst shades it. For the same body and trim in Honduran rosewood, look at the Gold Label 814e.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Shape: Super Auditorium
Cutaway: Non-cutaway
Bracing System: Fanned V-Class with Tonal Rout
Number of Strings: 6 String
Top Wood: Torrefied Spruce
Back/Side Wood: Hawaiian Koa
Rosette: Custom Single Ring, Bound Sound Hole
Back Configuration: 2-piece or 4-piece Simons Wedge
Body Binding: .080" Grained Ivoroid, Round Over Edges
Top Finish: Gloss
Back/Side Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Mother-of-Pearl Continental
Fretboard Binding: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Finish: Satin
Nut Width: 1-3/4"
Peghead Veneer Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: Mother-of-Pearl Continental
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Finish: Gloss

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: LR Baggs - Element VTC

HARDWARE
Bridge: Honduran Rosewood
Nut & Saddle: White TUSQ Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Bone
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: Ivoroid/Tortoise, with Engraving
Tuners: Gotoh 510 Antique Chrome with Ebony EN01 Buttons
Strap Pin: Black

CASE
Case/Bag: Gold Label Hardshell Case British Cocoa

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Gold-Label-K14e-1210024109-FrontLeft-2024_sq.jpg?v=1791348737
