taylor-legacy-914ce
Taylor Legacy 914ce

The Legacy 914ce goes back to the Indian rosewood and Engelmann spruce pairing that anchored Taylor's 900 Series for years, in a Grand Auditorium with a Venetian cutaway. Taylor points to warm lows, sparkling trebles and rich overtones from that combination, braced here with traditional X-bracing.

The playing side is updated, with Taylor's modern neck profile in the Legacy Standard Carve and an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup. The look stays with the older 900 Series: green abalone on the top purfling and rosette, Indian rosewood binding, gold tuners, a full gloss body and the Cindy inlays, named for Bob Taylor's wife.

For a 900 Series Grand Auditorium with scalloped V-Class bracing, an Action Control Neck and Claria electronics, look at the Builder's Edition 914ce, in Indian rosewood with Lutz spruce or Honduran rosewood with sinker redwood.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Shape: Grand Auditorium
Cutaway: Venetian Cutaway
Bracing System: X-Bracing
Number of Strings: 6 String
Top Wood: Engelmann Spruce
Back/Side Wood: Indian Rosewood
Rosette: Green Abalone Single Ring, Bound Sound Hole
Back Configuration: 2-piece No Wedge
Body Binding: Indian Rosewood
Armrest: None
Top Finish: Gloss
Back/Side Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Legacy Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Ebony w/ Abalone/Pearl "Cindy" Inlay
Fretboard Binding: Indian Rosewood
Neck Finish: Satin
Nut Width: 1-3/4"
Peghead Veneer Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: Cindy
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Binding: Indian Rosewood
Peghead Finish: Gloss

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: LR Baggs - Element VTC

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: White TUSQ Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: West African Crelicam Ebony with Green Abalone Dots
Strings: D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053)
Pickguard: None
Tuners: Taylor Gold with Gold Buttons
Strap Pin: Gold
End Pin: Black

CASE
Case/Bag: Deluxe Hard Shell Case

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Legacy-914ce-1201215106-FrontLeft-2025_sq.jpg?v=1791348919
