taylor-somos-150ce-doce-doble-12-string
Taylor Somos 150ce Doce Doble

The Somos 150ce Doce Doble is a 12-string with its pairs tuned in unison, modelled on the modified guitars used in regional Mexican styles. It's a Venetian cutaway Dreadnought with a solid torrefied spruce top over layered sapele, C-Class bracing and Expression System 2. Taylor voices it bright and clear with plenty of projection, and it stays articulate at any volume.

It belongs in Latin music first, and anywhere else a player wants a 12-string with a different character. The finish is matte, with black binding and pickguard and dot inlays. For an octave-strung 12-string on the same Dreadnought body, look at the 150ce; for the unison 12-string in gloss black, the Somos 250ce Plus BLK Doce Doble.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: Mexico
Body Shape: Dreadnought
Cutaway: Venetian Cutaway
Bracing System: C-Class Bracing
Number of Strings: 12 String
Top Wood: Spruce
Back/Side Wood: Sapele
Rosette: White Plastic 3 Ring
Back Configuration: Layered, 2-Piece
Body Binding: Black
Armrest: None
Top Finish: Matte
Back/Side Finish: Matte

NECK
Neck Wood: Neo-Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Faux Pearl 4mm Dots
Fretboard Binding: None
Neck Finish: Matte
Nut Width: 1-7/8"
Peghead Veneer Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Finish: Matte

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: Expression System® 2

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: White TUSQ Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: Black ABS Plastic
Strings: D'Addario XS Coating Phosphor Bronze Light (Double 12 Stringing)
Pickguard: Black
Tuners: Die-cast Chrome with Chrome Buttons
Strap Pin: Black
End Pin: Black

CASE
Case/Bag: Tan Structured Gig Bag

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-150ce-Doce-Doble-2201215438-FrontLeft-2025_sq.jpg?v=1791348969
