taylor-somos-657ce-doce-doble-12-string
Taylor Somos 657ce Doce Doble

The Somos 657ce Doce Doble is a 12-string strung in unison pairs rather than octaves, the sound of the Mexican doce doble on a Taylor. It pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Big Leaf maple back and sides in the Grand Pacific round-shoulder body, braced with V-Class.

The strings anchor through Taylor's double-mounted system for even voicing across the pairs, and a Florentine cutaway gives room to reach the upper register. Appointments match the 657ce Bajo Quinto: a white pearloid pickguard and truss rod cover, Mission inlays in mother-of-pearl and grained ivoroid, and gold mini tuners.

Claria electronics are fitted, and it comes in a Western Floral hardshell case. For the same unison stringing in koa or in gloss black, look at the Somos 260ce-K DLX Doce Doble and the 250ce Plus BLK Doce Doble.

SPECIFICATIONS

BODY
Country of Origin: USA
Body Shape: Grand Pacific
Cutaway: Florentine Cutaway
Bracing System: V-Class Bracing
Number of Strings: 12 String
Top Wood: Spruce
Rosette: Green Abalone Single Ring
Back Configuration: 2-piece No Wedge
Body Binding: White
Armrest: No
Top Finish: Gloss
Back/Side Finish: Gloss

NECK
Neck Wood: Hard Rock Maple
Fretboard Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Neck Profile: Standard Carve
Fretboard Inlay: Grained Ivoroid / Mother-of-Pearl Mission
Fretboard Binding: White
Neck Finish: Gloss
Nut Width: 1-7/8"
Peghead Veneer Wood: West African Crelicam Ebony
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Peghead Inlay: None
Peghead Type: Paddle
Peghead Binding: White
Peghead Finish: Gloss

ELECTRONICS
Electronics: The Claria Acoustic Pickup System

HARDWARE
Bridge: West African Crelicam Ebony
Nut & Saddle: White TUSQ Nut, White Micarta Saddle
Bridge Pins: West African Ebony with Green Abalone Dots
Strings: D'Addario XS Coating Phosphor Bronze Light (Double 12 Stringing)
Pickguard: White Pearloid
Tuners: Taylor Gold with Gold Buttons
Strap Pin: Gold
End Pin: Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/1220/7188/files/Taylor-Guitars-657ce-Doce-Doble-Front-Hero-Image_sq.jpg?v=1791387407
