Anderson shaped the body with deeper cutaways and longer horns so the top of the neck is easy to reach, and sculpted the front and back for comfort. Two full octaves on the high E string give you more upper range than a 22-fret guitar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are no pickup rings. Anderson says this lets the neck pickup sit nearer the 24th-fret harmonic, which they credit for the neck tone. The standard scale is 25-1\/2\". The 24-3\/4\" version, which Anderson calls the Li'l Angel, has slightly lower string tension.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnderson describes the Angel as a Drop Top with a four-octave range, which is a fair way to place it.
