Joey Landreth is widely recognized as an exceptional guitarist, songwriter. During Two-Rock’s conversations, they thoroughly enjoyed discussing gear and envisioning an ideal amplifier that would perfectly suit his playing style and aesthetic preferences. These discussions eventually led to the creation of a new amp, aptly named the Joey Landreth Signature amp.

A  True Analog Experience

The Joey Landreth Signature amp is a single-channel amplifier equipped with analog spring reverb and innovative dual tremolo circuits. Developed and designed in collaboration with Joey over the course of several years, this amp features a larger head cabinet with a classic appearance, as per Joey’s request. The amp’s front baffle is made of suede, complemented by metal trim, and it pairs seamlessly with the new Two-Rock 3×10 speaker cabinet.

Limited to 100 Worldwide

Limited to 100 units, each chassis of the Joey Landreth Signature amp will be signed and shipped in 2023. Notably, this amp boasts two independent tremolo circuits: Harmonic and Bias tremolo. While the bias tremolo modulates the output volume, the harmonic tremolo modulates higher and lower frequencies separately, creating a faux doppler-effect through phase-shifting. This unique sound is achieved using three-and-a-half preamp tubes.

Both tremolos can be used simultaneously or independently, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities. Additionally, they can be controlled via footswitches. Joey Landreth himself describes this amp as “the most beautiful sounding amp I have ever played,” emphasizing its exceptional qualities. The preamp delivers a perfect edge of breakup sound reminiscent of lower wattage amps, while the power amp provides the punch and thump typically associated with larger amps. Even at 100 watts, the amp maintains a balanced output. The dual tremolos serve as the icing on the cake, transforming this amp into the ideal “guitar straight into an amp” setup. However, it is worth noting that the amp is also capable of accommodating pedals. The front end of the amp offers a delightful squish, making it an excellent match for fuzz enthusiasts. It effectively absorbs harsh transients, leaving behind only the desirable elements of the sound.
