HISTORY OF GRETSCH GUITARS
Gretsch guitars have been around since the early 1900s when Chet Atkins and Bo Diddley helped create a new genre of music that would forever change how we see the guitar. In the decades since, these instruments have become synonymous with rock and roll, country music, and blues.
Gretsch started out in Brooklyn, New York. In 1953, Fred Gretsch Sr. moved his company to Nashville, Tennessee, where it has been making its iconic instruments ever since.
