Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1957 Reissue that exemplifies the craftsmanship and sonic character of the iconic Goldtop era. This Real Deal Series (RDS) build blends authenticity with playability, offering true vintage tone and feel in a meticulously constructed instrument.

The Real Deal Series (RDS) is a boutique program dedicated to transforming high-end electric guitars through a meticulous, historically accurate process. From Brazilian rosewood fretboards to vintage-correct finishes and hand-selected parts, every detail is chosen to reflect the golden era of guitar making.

Backed by the experience of Historic Makeovers and RetroSpec, RDS guitars are crafted to capture the character, feel, and tone of the most iconic vintage models.

The Vintage 1957 C-profile neck has been carefully shaped to vintage-correct dimensions—.895" at the 1st fret and .995" at the 12th—delivering a comfortable yet substantial grip, just as the classics did. Topped with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and RetroSpec Exclusive Series Cellulose Nitrate inlays, the neck reflects the tone, texture, and elegance of the most revered late-'50s Gibsons.

Featuring a matched set of Ballestone ’57 PAFs with RetroSpec V2 aged covers, wired with RetroSpec CTS pots and Bumblebee capacitors for that unmistakable clarity and warmth. The result is the pure, articulate voice of a true ’50s Les Paul—open, dynamic, and rich in harmonic complexity.

Every detail adheres to Historic Makeovers’ Original Nitrocellulose lacquer process, enhancing resonance and ensuring a finish that will gracefully wear and age. Outfitted with RetroSpec Exclusive hardware, including Kluson Single Line tuners, St. Hellens x RetroSpec bridge and tailpiece, and aged Amber Bonnet control knobs, this Goldtop embodies the perfect blend of period accuracy and refined craftsmanship.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.
