Universal Audio pedals and interfaces at Lauzon Music
What Universal Audio is known for
Modeling classic studio and amp gear. Universal Audio has built recording equipment since 1958, and its UAD modeling of vintage compressors, preamps, tape machines and amps is what runs inside both the Apollo interfaces and the UAFX pedals. The UAFX pedals use a dual-engine design to model amps, reverbs and delays; the Apollos run UAD processing as you record, with near-zero latency.
The models we carry
See the UAFX amp pedals, the interfaces and the microphones, or everything on the page.
- UAFX amp pedals. Dream '65, Ruby '63, Lion '68 and ANTI 1992 put a modeled amp, with speaker, mic and room, on your board; the OX Stomp is the speaker emulator
- UAFX Starlight and Galaxy '74. Stereo delay, and tape echo with reverb
- Apollo and Volt interfaces. Apollo records through UAD processing and Unison preamp models in realtime; the Volt 876 is a rack-mount interface
- Sphere and SP-1 microphones. Sphere modeling mics, and the SP-1 pair
What Universal Audio costs
Universal Audio gear on our page runs from about $400 to $2,000 today. The UAFX pedals sit at the lower end, the interfaces in the middle, and the Sphere modeling mics at the top.

Questions
Universal Audio questions, answered
What do the UAFX amp pedals do?
Each one models a specific amp, with speaker, mic and room tones, so you can play into a PA, an interface or headphones without a cab. The Dream '65, for example, models a mid-'60s American tube combo with its spring reverb and vibrato.
What does an Apollo interface do that others don't?
Apollo interfaces run UAD plug-ins as you record, with near-zero latency, and their Unison preamps take on the character of modeled classic tube and transformer preamps, guitar amps and stompboxes.
Do UAFX pedals get updates?
Yes, through Universal Audio's UAFX Control app. The Dream '65's update, for example, added four onboard amp presets and MIDI control.
Can I use a UAFX pedal for recording?
Yes. The amp pedals carry speaker and mic modeling, so their outputs can go straight to an interface.
Do you ship Universal Audio gear to the US?
Yes. Everything ships insured, free over $200 across Canada and the US, with no duty on US orders.
