The Volt 876 is Universal Audio's eight-preamp rack interface: eight mic preamps, two of them with front-panel instrument inputs, eight line outputs, two headphone outs, MIDI, word clock and two ADAT ports, all in one rack space.
Every channel has UA's Vintage mode, modelled on their 610 tube preamp, and an analog 76 Compressor inspired by the 1176 with three presets: VOC, GTR and FAST. Conversion is 32-bit at up to 192 kHz. With ADAT it expands to 24 in and 28 out, and it can also serve as an eight-channel preamp expander for an Apollo.
The UAD Console app gives you two low-latency cue mixes, a talkback mic and full recall of the front panel. Rack ears and rubber feet are in the box, so it works on a desk or in a rack. Class compliant on Mac, iPad and iPhone, with an ASIO driver for Windows.
