This Brent Mason Studio is from Collection Series IV in 2012

When most people think of the pinnacle of PRS quality, they think of our Private Stock department - a small team of luthiers in our Maryland shop crafting build-to-order instruments for individual customers. When Paul Reed Smith assumed direct leadership over Private Stock in 2009, he conceptualized a unique idea for the department. Paul’s idea was to create the Collection Series, a limited set of instruments built with the best of the best Private Stock materials and with specifications laboriously designed by Paul himself.

To date, the PRS Private Stock team has worked closely with Paul Reed Smith to design and build 9 sets of these Collection Series Instruments, each uniquely desirable and collectible.

The very rare Collection grade woods and specifications on this instrument were personally hand selected by Paul Reed Smith.

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.
