750 ms of digital delay mixed against the original analog signal, and deliberately not a clean studio delay. It is gritty and it colours the repeats, which is the reason to own one.
Time is set from the knob or by tapping the switch twice, with a Divide toggle for eighths, dotted eighths and quarters. The Mode toggle sets what the brake does when you hold the switch: alternate between slowing and speeding and stay there, snap back to the original tempo on release, or slide back to it.
The Modulation control is an eight-position switch running from warm to well outside it, and an internal Echo Roll Off pot sets the tone of the repeats.
