Based on our proven Starplayer Bass design, Dave’s Bass delivers the mellow, yet defined low end foundation needed for the Bros. Landreth sophisticated compositions.

In this customized version, we’ve refined the tonal concept of the Bass to accurately capture the sound envisioned by Dave.

The neck position houses the acclaimed Duesenberg Alnico-Blade Bass Singlecoil in a custom noiseless version under the new Gold-Foil style cover. This pickup brings the transparency assosciated with a classic Singlecoil but cancels any unwanted noise on stage. Noise-Cancelling can be switched on or off via a small switch on the pickguard.
In the bridge position, you’ll find the latest Duesenberg Gold-Foil Bass Singlecoil beneath a Phonico cover. This configuration offers exceptional transparency and clarity, while also providing ample low-end power to fill the venue with rich tones.

Each pickup has a seperate volume control, as well as a master-tone, allowing Dave to blend both pickups seamlessly.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.
