Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the original Starplayer design with an exclusive limited run of the Starplayer CBR.

This guitar is dressed in a stunning Gold-Leaf & Checkerboard finish and is strictly limited to 30 pieces worldwide.

2025 marks the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the original Starplayer.

In celebration of this special year, we are releasing a new family of instruments which extends the tonal range and aesthetics of the Starplayer family in new and exciting ways - The Starplayer CBR.

One very special version of this line is finished in a Gold-Leaf and Black Checkerboard design and is strictly limited to 30 pieces worldwide.

It comes including the Duesenberg Custom Line Case and a Certificate of Authenticity.

What is the Starplayer CBR?

Retaining the aesthetics of the celebrated Starplayer design, the Starplayer CBR brings you a new and unique tonal response through a chambered Mahogany body, one-piece Maple neck and flat Maple top.

It comes with our newly designed Diamond Prestige Tremola unit featuring an elegant flat-arm design, as well as our new Flextone+ 5-Way wiring.

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.

Exchange it for something else and there is no restocking fee, though you cover the shipping on the instrument going back. On a straight refund it is 10% plus the actual shipping both ways.
