Why this one made the wall

Mint condition, with no modifications or repairs. Any wear you see is the Heavy Relic aging the Fender Custom Shop put on it, and there is none beyond that. It comes with its original black Fender Custom Shop hardshell case and all the original case candy. It weighs 7 lb 11.5 oz.

We specced this '67 Strat with the Fender Custom Shop ourselves and had it built HSS: a pair of Custom Shop hand-wound El Diablo single-coils in the neck and middle, an EVH Frankenstein humbucker in the bridge, and Black Sparkle Burst lacquer over a two-piece alder body.

The neck is roasted 3A flame maple with a '66 Oval C back, a dark AAA rosewood board and a 7.25" to 9.5" compound radius, so it feels vintage down by the nut and flattens out where you bend. 21 medium jumbo frets, a 1.650" bone nut and a large headstock carrying the 64-67 Strat decal. There is a tone control each for the neck and bridge pickups.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses our bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.
