Why this one made the wall

The Shape Twin is the top of Focal's Shape line: a 2.5-way studio monitor with two 5" Flax-cone woofers either side of Focal's aluminium-magnesium "M" tweeter, driven by three Class AB amplifiers. Made in France.

Instead of a bass port it uses a pair of 8" passive radiators on the sides, so the bass stays controlled when the speaker has to sit near a wall, which is where most home studios end up putting it. Rear-panel controls cover the low and high shelves, the low-mid level at 160 Hz and a switchable high-pass filter. The cabinet is MDF finished partly in real walnut. Focal recommends listening from about a metre away.

Questions we get

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses our bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.
