Our take

Who this one is for

The G6120DE is Duane Eddy's signature 6120: a laminated maple hollow body with trestle bracing, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer in Desert Sunrise. Gretsch modelled its neck and headstock profile on his original G6120, and paired them with two DynaSonic single-coils and a TRU-ARC stainless steel "rocking" bar bridge ahead of the Bigsby.

The 2-piece maple neck carries a 12" radius rosewood board with 22 medium frets, pearloid Hump Block inlays and a polished brass nut, on a 24.6" scale. Controls are kept to a volume for each pickup, one tone and a 3-position blade switch, with Grover Sta-Tite tuners and a gold plexi pickguard bearing his signature.

For other single-coil 6120s in the catalogue, the G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature pairs a DynaSonic bridge pickup with a Lindy Fralin "Dog Ear" at the neck, and the G6120T-55 Vintage Select Edition '55 Chet Atkins runs a pair of TV Jones T-Armonds.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
