The Marine Band 1896 has been the sound of blues harmonica since the early 1900s, and it is still built the old way, with the reed plates and covers nailed to the comb. The pearwood comb gets two coats of lacquer to keep swelling down, and the curved, side-vented covers give it that open, punchy voice.
