Jason Lollar's take on the Jazz Bass bridge pickup: Alnico 5 magnets, scatterwound to a vintage output, wax potted. 8.5k DC resistance and 4.0 henries of inductance, which is where a bridge J pickup sits when it is meant to bark rather than thin out.
Reverse wound and reverse polarity so it hum-cancels with the neck pickup when both are up.
